Brennan Grignon

Entrepreneur in Residence, Vantive

Brennan Grignon is the Entrepreneur in Residence for Vantive, a Red Cell national security incubation.

With a track record of founding 5M Strategies, she has delivered strategic and operational expertise to both non-profits and private enterprises. Previously, Brennan made significant contributions at the Department of Defense, where she served under three Presidential Administrations as Director of Industry Outreach and Supply Chain Resilience. Her leadership was pivotal in executing critical interagency assessments of the defense industrial base (Executive Orders 13806 and 14017) and strengthening international industrial policy through her work with allies and partners. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brennan played a key role on DoD’s COVID-19 team, crafting industrial expansion and supply chain strategies that supported national efforts, including those of the Department of Health and Human Services, FEMA, and the White House.

Her multifaceted career also includes spearheading research & development initiatives, advising on strategic planning, communications, and workforce development as a government consultant, and assessing financial risks for private equity groups as a financial analyst.

Brennan is a graduate of American University, where she holds a bachelor’s degree in history and biology and a master’s degree in history.
