Joe Laws is the Co-Founder & CEO of Trase, a Red Cell healthcare incubation. Prior to joining Red Cell as an Entrepreneur in Residence, Joe spent nearly two decades leading teams and building innovative products used by billions of people. As a principal engineer, he led the modernization and rewrites of mobile apps at Reddit, Dropbox, and Google. He spent the early part of his career as an Infantry officer in the US Army and working in the finance sector at Goldman Sachs and SIG.
Joe received his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He lives in Vermont with his wife, four kids, three dogs, two cats, and two bunnies.
